Melbourne Shrine and Gardens. We will meet at Flinders station at 8.45 am and will start the walk at 9.am. Melway 2f6. We will walk to the Shrine, remembering the sacrifice our service men and women have made so we may have freedom.Then onto the Botanical Gardens where we will have morning tea and experience the beauty of the Gardens. Head to MCG via Birrarung Marr, and onto Fitzroy and Treasury Gardens. Finishing back along the Yarra River to Federation Square. Afternoon tea at a cafe. |

Lara to Serendip Sanctuary. Travel by V/Line to Lara (Geelong line) using your myki. Walk along linear parks to the 250 hectare Serendip Sanctuary which is home to a rich and diverse array of birds and mammals. The after lunch Wildlife Walk enables walkers to experience a close encounter with native wildlife. Note: Southern Cross meeting time 8:35am. Back at Southern Cross around 3pm. Walk suitable for new members. Please don't book unless you are sure of being on the walk. |

Here we will be having lunch at the well known Portsea Pub. Then catch the bus back to the train and home. |

WWW - Oberon Bay stroll. WWW - Weekend Wanderings Where? - a quiet night's camping on the serene Oberon Bay campsite.
We meet at the Information Centre at Tidal River at 10 am. Preference given to non-retirees and new members.
The first day's walk starts from the carpark at Telegraph Saddle and ends at the Oberon Bay campsite (9.5 km). The return on the Sunday is to Tidal River via the new steps at Little Oberon Bay (7.5 km).
Cost is $7.50 each. I will work out payments later.

Walk alongside the Cheetham Wetlands to Truganina Park and The 100 Steps to Federation. On a clear day 360 degree views to the You Yangs, Mount Derrimut, Mount Macedon, Port Phillip Bay and the Melbourne skyline. Alongside Laverton Creek and the Port Phillip Bay foreshore to Westona station (Werribee line). This walk is suitable for new members. Please don't book unless you are sure of being on the walk. |

GOW - Great Ocean Walk. The 100 km walk traverses beaches, clifftops, rainforests and hinterland. It takes you deep into the Great Otways National Park and the Port Campbell National Park, easy to medium walking. Days 1 & 7 drive there and home.

These kilometers/days can be adjusted depending on the walkers.
Camping at the National park campsites (3 sided shelter, water and drop toilets). 6 Days food to carry. |
