No 16 beach. Meet at No 16 beach carpark at 9.00am. Commence walking at 9.15am. Walk down Marcia Ave and along Melbourne Rd and the National Park. Morning tea at Skinners Reserve. Lunch either at Pierces Beach or Dimmicks Beach. The track through the National Park is sandy and rocky with roots sticking up. Come and enjoy the day on the Mornington Peninsula. |

Wattle Glen and Kangaroo Ground. Travel by Metro to Wattle Glen (Hurstbridge line) the least used station on the suburban network. Walk to Yirrip Reserve (Kangaroo Ground) with some nice ridge line views along the way. Yirrip Reserve has remnant stands of Red Ironbark trees and on a clear day the northern hillcrest provides a panoramic view in almost all directions. At the end of the walk, board Metro at Wattle Glen to Flinders Street arriving 3:46pm. Please don't book unless you are sure of being on the walk. |
