Sat, 11 May DAY Balt camp circuit. A circuit walk from Nolan's picnic ground walking out to the highest point in the Wombat state forest passing lovely fern gullies. See Balt calp ruins, a work camp for displaced persons from the Baltic states after World war 11, working for the Forestry Commission. Walk on part of the great Dividing Trail and pass several mine shafts before returning to the picnic ground. M 15 km
Sun, 12 May DAY London Bridge - Bay of Isles. A scenic beach and cliff walk in the Mornington Peninsula National Park, with lunch on the beach. M 14 km
Sat, 18 May DAY Warburton - Backstairs track, Mt Little Joe track rail trail. A circuit walk climbing the Back stairs track, along the Mt Little Joe track to Westburn and return via the rail trail Enjoy the heavily timbered areas which once provided timber for local sawmills and enjoy the historical avenue of honour along the rail trail section. M/H 16 km
Sun, 19 May DAY No 16 beach. Meet at No 16 beach carpark at 9.00am. Commence walking at 9.15am. Walk down Marcia Ave and along Melbourne Rd and the National Park. Morning tea at Skinners Reserve. Lunch either at Pierces Beach or Dimmicks Beach. The track through the National Park is sandy and rocky with roots sticking up. Come and enjoy the day on the Mornington Peninsula. M 15 km
Thu, 23 May DAY Reservoir to Rosanna. Travel by Metro to Reservoir (Mernda line). Walk along the Darebin Creek Trail, through the grounds of La Trobe University (Bundoora campus), on the Macleod to Mont Park goods railway (1911 to 1964) alignment and on trails through Rosanna Parklands to Rosanna station (Hurstbridge line). Please don't book unless you are sure of being on the walk. E 12 km
Sat, 1 Jun DAY St. Kilda Art Deco walk. An easy walk along St Kilda streets seeking out the lovely Art Deco houses and apartment buildings. The walk stops for morning tea in public gardens, lunch in a community garden, and to complete the day coffee in Fitzroy St. THis walk was originally devised and led by long term member Judith Hampton. It is walk # 2 in the BBC book Favourite Victorian Bush Walks. E 10 km
Sun, 2 Jun DAY Around the 1000 steps. Meet at the 1000 steps lower carpark at 9.00am. Start walking at 9.15am. The walk is recommended for experienced walkers who are used to climbing hills. This walk will include numerous tracks with multiple ascends and descends which are very steep and at times on gravel tracks which can be slippery. We will descend on the track next to the 1000 steps called the Lyrebird track. Lunch will be at One Tree Hill. H 14 km
Thu, 6 Jun DAY Kororoit Creek Trail. Travel by Metro (Sunbury/Watergardens line) to Sunshine. Walk the Kororoit Creek Trail from Sunshine to Altona North and see the extensive work done to revegetate the Kororoit Creek corridor. View artist Geoffrey Ricardo's "Spirits of Time and Place" series of eight sculptures along the trail. At the end of the walk, board 903, 411 or 412 bus to Altona station. E 13 km
Sat, 15 Jun DAY You Yangs. You Yangs circuit walk starts with a walk to Flinders Peak for sweeping views of Melbourne and Geelong. Circuit walk offers high views of the Stone Bunjil, created after the Commonwealth Games. Some short steep hills along the way. M 12 km
Sun, 30 Jun DAY Mordialloc to Carrum. Meet at Mordialloc Railway station at 9.00am Start walking at 9.15am. This walk is flat with good paths. The walk is one way finishing at Carrum Railway station around lunch time. The walk is along the trail with views of schools, parks, sporting grounds and wetlands. The walk will be suitable for new members and visitors. Morning tea will be at Chelsea Park. Bring your myki card for the train. E 14 km
