Sat, 27 Apr DAY Bungal Forest. A lovely walk through open forest passing disused mine sites, gravel pit and with views over adjacent farmland. Off track walking to the top of some knolls and across country if we take the northern access road. This will depend on state of flooding of the southern access road and ford. M/H 13 km
Sun, 28 Apr DAY Anakie Gorge/NelsonsLookout. Starting at Anakie Gorge, climb to Nelsons lookout for terrific views of the city, Mt Macedon and surrounds. Walk part of the Burchell Track, side trip to Stony Creek Reservoir. Walking back to the start through the Gorge. Chance sightings of soaring Wedgetail Eagles, Robins and Honeyeaters. M 13 km
Thu, 2 May DAY Merri-bek: Parks and History. Catch Metro to Jewell station (Upfield line). We will visit more than ten urban parks and several historic sites in the City of Merri-bek. The walk ends at Coburg station (Upfield line). Please don't book unless you are sure of being on the walk. E 13 km
Sat, 4 May DAY Four Brothers Rocks Loop Gembrook. A fairly strenuous circuit in the Bunyip State Park, on a combination of walking trails and management tracks, starting with the Mortimer Nature walk circuit (some parts may be muddy if it's rained.) then a steady, gradual climb on management tracks up to the lunch spot at the Four Brothers Rock. A very steep descent (approximately 20 minutes) on narrow clay & gravel track, then a leafy undulating track through the forest, back to the cars. Hiking poles are mandatory for the steep descent. M/H 13 km
Sun, 5 May DAY London bridge (Mornington PNP) to Neapan Fort. Starting at London Bridge walk through Moonah Costal Woodland and several buildings of Australian defence including Nepean Fort, Quarantine, and others. M 17 km
Sun, 5 May DAY Part of 2 bays walk. Meet at Rosebud, Flinders Rd car park Melway 259 K8 at 8.30am. Car shuffle to Seawinds State Park where the walk commences. This is a great walk. Sandy in some sections, otherwise good tracks throughout. Come and enjoy the walk. Bring walking poles and boots and wet weather gear. M 17 km
Wed, 8 May CON Freemans Mill Track - start building stone steps. Commence building stone steps on the steep section of the track. E 1 km
Sat, 11 May DAY Balt camp circuit. A circuit walk from Nolan's picnic ground walking out to the highest point in the Wombat state forest passing lovely fern gullies. See Balt calp ruins, a work camp for displaced persons from the Baltic states after World war 11, working for the Forestry Commission. Walk on part of the great Dividing Trail and pass several mine shafts before returning to the picnic ground. M 15 km
Sat, 18 May DAY Warburton - Backstairs track, Mt Little Joe track rail trail. A circuit walk climbing the Back stairs track, along the Mt Little Joe track to Westburn and return via the rail trail Enjoy the heavily timbered areas which once provided timber for local sawmills and enjoy the historical avenue of honour along the rail trail section. M/H 16 km
Sun, 19 May DAY No 16 beach. Meet at No 16 beach carpark at 9.00am. Commence walking at 9.15am. Walk down Marcia Ave and along Melbourne Rd and the National Park. Morning tea at Skinners Reserve. Lunch either at Pierces Beach or Dimmicks Beach. The track through the National Park is sandy and rocky with roots sticking up. Come and enjoy the day on the Mornington Peninsula. M 15 km
