DAY Airey's Inlet Beach and Bush. A good, long circuit commencing at Distillery Creek Picnic area, and taking in the lighthouse, some cliff top and beach walking, then forest and heathland. A highlight is the picturesque Painkalak Dam. M 18 km

Thu, 1 Dec DAY Scotchmans Creek Trail by public transport. Starting at East Malvern Station we follow the Scotchmans Creek Trail towards Glen Waverley and its station from where we can take a train or bus home. It is a pretty trail, through bush, alongside golf courses and next to a retarding basin. We will have lunch at the Valley Reserve in Mount Waverley, the only place where there is a toilet, apart from either end at the railway stations. E 13 km

DAY Tarneit to Williams Landing. Travel by V/Line (myki usable) to Tarneit (Geelong line). Walk the Skeleton Creek and Federation Trails through Tarneit, Truganina and Hoppers Crossing to Williams Landing. Appreciate the re-vegetation and restoration work done over the last 30 years by the Friends of Skeleton Creek and Wyndham City Council.
