Sat, 20 Jul DAY Lerderderg Heritage Track via Green Gully. Starting walk at St Erth Garden, Blackwood. Follow Easter Monday track, Green Gully and back to St Erth via Lerderderg Heritage track. M 15 km
Sun, 2 Jun DAY Around the 1000 steps. Meet at the 1000 steps lower carpark at 9.00am. Start walking at 9.15am. The walk is recommended for experienced walkers who are used to climbing hills. This walk will include numerous tracks with multiple ascends and descends which are very steep and at times on gravel tracks which can be slippery. We will descend on the track next to the 1000 steps called the Lyrebird track. Lunch will be at One Tree Hill. H 14 km
Sun, 7 Jul DAY Creswick Forest in late Autumn. Starting and finishing at Lake St George. Walking on part of the Goldfields track through pine plantations and La Gerche Forest. On our return we walk in the gardens of Melb Uni Agriculture Campus. E/M 14 km
Sun, 12 May DAY London Bridge - Bay of Isles. A scenic beach and cliff walk in the Mornington Peninsula National Park, with lunch on the beach. M 14 km
Thu, 9 May DAY Wattle Glen and Kangaroo Ground. Travel by Metro to Wattle Glen (Hurstbridge line) the least used station on the suburban network. Walk to Yirrip Reserve (Kangaroo Ground) with some nice ridge line views along the way. Yirrip Reserve has remnant stands of Red Ironbark trees and on a clear day the northern hillcrest provides a panoramic view in almost all directions. At the end of the walk, board Metro at Wattle Glen to Flinders Street arriving 3:46pm. Please don't book unless you are sure of being on the walk. M 14 km
Sat, 27 Apr DAY Bungal Forest. A lovely walk through open forest passing disused mine sites, gravel pit and with views over adjacent farmland. Off track walking to the top of some knolls and across country if we take the northern access road. This will depend on state of flooding of the southern access road and ford. M/H 13 km
Sun, 28 Apr DAY Anakie Gorge/NelsonsLookout. Starting at Anakie Gorge, climb to Nelsons lookout for terrific views of the city, Mt Macedon and surrounds. Walk part of the Burchell Track, side trip to Stony Creek Reservoir. Walking back to the start through the Gorge. Chance sightings of soaring Wedgetail Eagles, Robins and Honeyeaters. M 13 km
Sat, 4 May DAY Four Brothers Rocks Loop Gembrook. A fairly strenuous circuit in the Bunyip State Park, on a combination of walking trails and management tracks, starting with the Mortimer Nature walk circuit (some parts may be muddy if it's rained.) then a steady, gradual climb on management tracks up to the lunch spot at the Four Brothers Rock. A very steep descent (approximately 20 minutes) on narrow clay & gravel track, then a leafy undulating track through the forest, back to the cars. Hiking poles are mandatory for the steep descent. M/H 13 km
Thu, 2 May DAY Merri-bek: Parks and History. Catch Metro to Jewell station (Upfield line). We will visit more than ten urban parks and several historic sites in the City of Merri-bek. The walk ends at Coburg station (Upfield line). Please don't book unless you are sure of being on the walk. E 13 km
Sat, 15 Jun DAY You Yangs. You Yangs circuit walk starts with a walk to Flinders Peak for sweeping views of Melbourne and Geelong. Circuit walk offers high views of the Stone Bunjil, created after the Commonwealth Games. Some short steep hills along the way. M 12 km
