Sat, 10 Dec DAY Lysterfield Park. Starting from Lysterfield Lake walk up the tramline track to Lysterfield L'ookout. Lunch at the boys farm and (hopefully) picking of some wild plums. Early finish. E/M 16 km
Sat, 14 Jan 2023 DAY Pt Leo to Flinders. A beach walk from Pt Leo to Flinders along the beaches of Westernport Bay. Search the rock formations for small creatures at low tides and enjoy the gentle surf and cooling summer breezes. Dolphins have been spotted in these waters. Chance to swim at morning tea and lunch. Suitable for both new members and club members wishing for a gentle return to walking after holiday festivities. E/M 14 km
Sun, 6 Nov DAY Rokeby rail trail. Rokeby Rail trail, near Jindivick, is a gentle walk amongst tall gums An old trestle bridge is another feature of this walk. Gippsland hills are an intense blue on on fine day. E/M 14 km
Sun, 11 Dec CYC Xmas Bike Ride. Club's traditional Xmas Bike Ride is on again. The easy/medium morning bike ride starts with chicken and champagne breakfast and it is downhill from then onwards. E/M 20 km
Mon, 17-24 Oct O/N Grampians Peak Trail - Southern Half. Walk the south half of the newly constructed Grampians Peak Trail, from Borough Huts to Dunkeld. Camp at specifically built hike-in campgrounds along the trail. Climb dramatic mountain peaks with panoramic views and hike along rugged rocky ridge lines. Experience a rich diversity of flora and fauna. Subject to availability of tent sites. H 91 km
Fri, 4-14 Nov BC Aussie Camino. 160km walk along the Mary McKillip path. Walking from Portland to Penola. Coastal for first half, then inland to Coonawarra, Averaging 23 km per day.One 30km day. Rest day on the Glenelg River at Nelson. Canoeing to Princess Margaret Caves . As this walk was scheduled in 2019/20/21, The original 14 people who registered in 2021 and paid their deposit have been booked in. . We will have a support vehicle ( Geoff Trist ).
