Sun, 7-15 Apr O/N GSWW Portland to Nelson. Expression of Interest. GSWW Portland to Nelson inland walk along the Glenelg River. 120km. 6 nights/7 days. 2 days travel to/from Portland. 2 nights B&B at Victoria House at Portland. Quality Parks campsites. Bus transfer from Nelson back to Portland. A good level of fitness is required to carry overnight walking gear & 6 days food. Priority given to walkers who have not done the walk before. Payment is required after closure of BBC booking sheet to confirm booking. M 120 km
Thu, 25-28 Apr O/N Bogong High Plains - Ryders, Dibbins, Blairs & Westons Huts. Day 1 - Drive to Falls Creek & walk into Ryders huts. Day 2 - Stroll along aqueduct track, brief off track climb to join AAWT, descend to Cobungra Gap & Dibbins Hut. Undulating walk to Blairs Hut on Kiewa River (West Branch) to overnight. Day 3 - Steep climb back onto High Plains. Morning tea at Westons Hut. Climb becomes less steep as height is gained. Rejoin AAWT & return to Ryders huts. Day 4 - Retrace day 1 route to cars and return home. Joint walk with Catholic Walking Club of Vic. M 36 km
Sat, 6-7 Apr O/N Eildon overnight Backpack. Lake Eildon National Park is in the northern foothills of Victoria’s Central Highlands, 150 km north-east of Melbourne. Mountaineers Creek campsite is situated on the shores of Lake Eildon and is a delightful remote campsite accessible by hiking or boat only. All hikers will need to be self-sufficient on this two-day adventure. M/H 26 km
Sun, 14 Apr DAY Mt Macedon. An 18km walk in the Macedon Regional Park. The initial climb of 350m is over 2km. Generally the track is a good forest surface with gravel road in some sections. There is a steep descent from Mt Towrong at the end of the walk over exposed rocks (200m over 1.5km) This will be slippery if wet. Boots and poles are essential. Fabulous views in several directions if the weather is clear. M/H 18 km
Sun, 7 Apr DAY Lake Mountain to Keppel Hut. An 18 km there and back walk, with a rise of 540m, steep in parts. We will walk on x-country ski trails and a bush track with some obstacles to manoeuvre. Fragrant bushes along the walk add to the pleasant bush feel. M/H 18 km
Sun, 5 May DAY London bridge (Mornington PNP) to Neapan Fort. Starting at London Bridge walk through Moonah Costal Woodland and several buildings of Australian defence including Nepean Fort, Quarantine, and others. M 17 km
Sun, 21 Apr DAY Bass Coastal Walk. Meet at Anderson bus stop Melway X912 Q11 at 8.30am. Car shuffle to Punch Bowl road where the walk commences. This is a regular walk that the club puts on. Great views of Bass Coast line with a pink house included. Lunch will be at Kilcunda on the beach. Then finish walking along the awesome rail trail to Anderson when the cars have been left. M 17 km
Sun, 5 May DAY Part of 2 bays walk. Meet at Rosebud, Flinders Rd car park Melway 259 K8 at 8.30am. Car shuffle to Seawinds State Park where the walk commences. This is a great walk. Sandy in some sections, otherwise good tracks throughout. Come and enjoy the walk. Bring walking poles and boots and wet weather gear. M 17 km
Sat, 20 Apr DAY Emerald to Cockatoo via Wright Forest. Circuit walk passing Emerald Lake, through the Wright Forest to Cockatoo. We could spot the Puffing Billy. Autumn colours will be stunning. M 16 km
Sat, 18 May DAY Warburton - Backstairs track, Mt Little Joe track rail trail. A circuit walk climbing the Back stairs track, along the Mt Little Joe track to Westburn and return via the rail trail Enjoy the heavily timbered areas which once provided timber for local sawmills and enjoy the historical avenue of honour along the rail trail section. M/H 16 km
