Thu, 25 Aug DAY Beaconsfield to Narre Warren South. Catch Metro to Beaconsfield (Pakenham line). Walk from Beaconsfield to Narre Warren South along the Melbourne Water Pipe Track, beside extensive wetlands and on a section of the Hallam Valley Trail. Sat, 27 Aug DAY Somers and surrounds. Somers is becoming a discovered destination on the Mornington Peninsula. There is a variety of scenery - the foreshore walk on to the beach, through the grounds of Coolart, along to Balnarring and return via a shared cycle path to afternoon tea BYO. Actual direction of circuit will depend on tide heights. E/M 14 km
Sun, 28 Aug DAY Mason Falls and Mount Sugarloaf. We will see tall gums, fern trees and the striking falls; bird life, perhaps lyrebirds, and probably kangaroos. There is a 1¼ hour steep uphill climb before lunch. This is a 15 km walk through the western part of Kinglake National Park, roughly 500 m climb in total. M 15 km
Thu, 1-3 Sep O/N Burchill Trail, Brisbane Ranges. Walk from Steiglitz in Brisbane Ranges to Old Mill Campsite, where we camp for 2 nights. Day 2 is a day walk towards Little River Camp and return. Day 3 we walk back to Steiglitz from Old Mill. Lovely, flat Campsite has water and toilets. Walking is in 'State's richest wildflower habitat.' Undulating, scrubby treed country with some short, steep up-hills. Walkers will keep together to enjoy the nature around and walk at a reasonable pace with adequate rest stops. M 44 km

Walk from Croydon to Mooroolbark visiting various reserves including the little known 18 hectare Hochkins Ridge Flora Reserve. Possibility of spring wildflowers at two reserves. Thu, 15 Sep DAY Sassafras to Upper Ferntree Gully. Travel by Metro to Upper Ferntree Gully (Belgrave line) and a 688 bus to Sassafras. Walk from Sassafras to Upper Ferntree Gully via One Tree Hill (502 metres). Undulating tracks with four short steep uphill sections (totalling about 450 metres). Thu, 15 Sep DAY Dromana Beach to Seawind Gardens, Arthurs Seat. A superb walk below Arthurs Seat with spectacular views of Port Phillip Bay. Walk starts with 1.1km of 1 in 10 gradient but is then easy going the rest of the way. Walk mostly in shade with fairly undisturbed bush and explore Seawinds Gardens at the top. M 12 km
