Fri, 16-23 Apr BC Wilsons Prom Base Camp Combined Hobart/BBC. Several day walks incl Sealers Cove, Little Waterloo Bay, Mt Oberon & Squeaky and Oberon Beaches. Lighthouse option overnight . Bunk accommodation in Arthur Lucas lodge 24 beds.12 each BBC/HBT ,depending on demand and take up from Hobart. Preference given to attendees from Daylesford and Hobart Base Camps. Sat, 17 Apr DAY The Briars. Ramble through native Bush land, The Briars, boardwalk to the beach and return. E 11 km
Sat, 17-18 Apr O/N Beeripmo Track. An old favourite, close to Melbourne. Walk through spectacular tall forests and alpine plateaus. We will camp at the charming Beeripmo campground where we can have a campfire. Return walk along cool fern gullies, after morning side trip to Mt Buangor. M 21 km
Sun, 18 Apr DAY Christmas Hills. Enjoy a walk which passes an operating gold mine, then along the Happy Valley Track and past other mines which have produced some of the richest yields in the world. Spot wildlife along the way. M 13 km
Thu, 22 Apr DAY Hughesdale to Deepdene. Starting from Hughesdale Station we follow paths through Boyd Park and the urban forest to East Malvern, then join the Outer Circle/Anniversary Trail to Deepdene. We pass through various attractive parks and gardens and finish with coffee at Town and Country Nursery cafe. E 12 km
Sat, 24 Apr DAY Mt Evelyn Forest Walk. A 14 km circuit walk following old aqueduct tracts to Silvan Reservoir. We will climb about 490 m in total on some 4x4 and single bush file bush tracks. A number of hills are very steep, both up and down. After a picnic lunch at the Silvan Reservoir we return along the Olinda Creek walking tract, this is less strenuous than our morning walk.Your efforts will be rewarded with abundant bird life especially kookaburras and of course walking in the forest. Sat, 24 Apr CYC Victoria Park to Marvel Stadium via scenic Darebin Parklands. Meet at 8.58am, at Victoria Park Station (Hurstbridge line). This ride showcases some recent cycling infrastructure, has only four hills, lots of exit points and is mainly on secluded bike paths, but does have a small amount of road riding which can be avoided by leaving the ride at Alphington Station. The ride will be about 3 hours. A leisurely pace, coffee/brunch available at various opportunities. E/M 28 km
Thu, 29 Apr DAY Autumn walking in Sherbrooke. Public transport to the Dandenongs for walks in the Alfred Nicholas memorial gardens and Sherbrooke forest. E 10 km
